Let's help Humber become a designated Fair Trade Campus!
Did you know that there are already 13 Fair Trade Campuses across Canada? Come on Humber! The Fair Trade Campus program recognizes colleges and universities demonstrating strong commitment to fair trade. Fair Trade Campus Designations are awarded based on a joint review by Fairtrade Canada and the Canadian Fair Trade Network (CFTN).
Fair Trade Campus Requirements:
1. Product Availability
All coffee served on campus must be FT
At least 3 FT teas must be available
At least 1 FT chocolate bar must be available
All campus events/meetings must serve FT coffee and tea
2. Steering Committee
Ensure that FT campus requirements are being maintained
3. Visibility and Education
Visible signage must be prominent where FT is sold
Must engage students in FT events and education
