Let's do it, #FairTradeHumber!
Did you know that Humber could become a designated Fair Trade Campus? All we have to do as students is ask for it! As a college, Humber is in a great position to support this progressive movement that helps producers in the Global South to create a sustainable economy for themselves and their communities. Fair trade campus designation requires three things; a steering committee to maintain standards, education and signage to raise awareness and of course, the availability of fair trade products on campus. All coffee needs to be fair trade and at least 3 fair trade teas and 1 fair trade chocolate bar must be available. Sounds easy enough, and Humber already has a few fairtrade coffee's available. There are also a bunch of really delicious fair trade chocolates. Try any of Camino's flavours and even Cadbury's Dairy Milk is Fairtrade Certified! Join our campaign this September to help Humber become a Fair Trade Campus!
